This year, due to COVID-19, the heartbreaking decision was made to not hold the Highland Games. However, we don’t want the year to go by without some sort of Scottish event. For 2020, the Seattle Scottish Highland Games Association is sponsoring a virtual Highland Games. This means it will be a completely online version of the Highland Games held on the same weekend as the event would have been: July 25th & 26thWe’ll have videos and pictures from our participants while staying socially distant, as well videos from the past to reminisce and hopefully time to catch up with those you normally see at the games! Our clans and vendors should be there too! We’re working with many of our existing chairs and committees to find how we bring what we know and love about our Highland Games in a virtual format. This is most definitely a different format for the Highland Games, but in lieu of something in person we hope it fills that Scottish hole in our hearts for this year.
